Tulsa has a "East Tulsa", "West Tulsa", "South Tulsa" and "North Tulsa". These are useful to designate where a city/town is located in reference to Downtown Tulsa. The area of "North Tulsa" (as referred to here) runs from Archer Street north to about 46th St North. There is an area of Tulsa called "Greenwood" and prior to the Race Riots of 1921 the Greenwood area was referred to as "The Black Wallstreet". Over the years the Greenwood area has expanded North.
